With personalized support, Taylor University’s Transition to Teaching program offers an affordable, graduate-level roadmap to achieving your goal. You’ll get hands-on field experiences in locations convenient to you and online coursework that will prepare you for the classroom. All licensure tracks lead to eligibility for an Indiana teaching license.

You can earn a secondary license through Taylor for these content areas:

You’ll take 8 classes to become a special education teacher in Indiana.
You’ll take these 8 classes to be licensed to teach English-language learners in Indiana.
Do you want to start teaching while still enrolled in Taylor’s Transition to Teaching program? The demand for teachers in the state of Indiana is so great that you may be eligible for a 3-year Transition to Teaching permit. This unique permit allows you to teach in Indiana classrooms if you have been formally accepted in our program, are enrolled in a course, and are employed in an Indiana school.
